UniLab produces a local drug, Andros which is local Viagra. Medical doctors celebrated the fact that the drug could withstand the intense lobbying by Pfizer.

Pfizer wanted to raise this issue but under legal terms could not stop them from producing the local version of Viagra otherwise the loopholes would be cracked in countries like China & India.

The logo of the Unilab shows the erect head of a snake instead of drooping. The President of Unilabs was confident even before the launch that the drug will be a hit because it is cheaper by 65 per cent than the imported version.

The next task for Unilab is to manufacture Tamiflu locally. But there is a shortage of the drug Tamiflu.On the other hand the manufacturer of Tamiflu, Roche too said that they would condemn the native manufacturing of the drug.
